METAL CONTAMINATED SOIL REMEDIATION
Eagle performed the remediation of a former metal recycling facility that had elevated levels of lead contamination in the soil. Several of the excavation areas were covered with concrete ranging from 6” to 12” thick.
Eagle removed and hauled off site approximately 18,000 square feet of concrete from the site. Eagle excavated the soils and segregated them based on their anticipated contamination levels. Samples were collected and analyzed to determine the disposal classification. Upon receipt of the analysis, Eagle prepared the waste profiles and profiled the waste into the appropriate landfills.
Over the course of the project, Eagle successfully removed, transported and disposed of approximately 3,300 cubic yards of class I & class II soil. Following the remediation activities, Eagle imported and placed backfill to match surrounding grades. This project was completed on schedule and without any incidents.
